Band Learns New Bops

The KCHS Band is showing off their musical talents this year as they rock out to some new and tunes at the football games. The new music includes, “Living on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi, “Turn the Beat Around” by Gloria Estefan, and “25 or 6 to 4,” by Chicago.

The participating students perform upbeat songs that they can all vibe with at the football games. Collin Patton, senior saxophone player, claimed “I think it’s good to introduce some new music that people will recognize.”

The band is gearing up to show off their chops. Patton continued, “We are taking steps in the right direction, and the music has.” This could be a huge milestone for the band, contributing to marching. More than anything, the band hopes to turn in a different direction through hard work and new music, and hopefully the people will turn to listen.
